Course Description:What you eat is a decision you make many times each day. If you enjoy working with food and learning how it affects your health, then this is the course for you! Learn how to properly use kitchen equipment for the preparation of vegetables, meats, grains, soups, breads, and more. Making pasta noodles from scratch with a variety of sauces is a big hit in Culinary 1. Food safety and sanitation is also studied. In addition, we may take a field trip to downtown Stillwater to the Olive Oil Co, Spice & Tea Co, Cooks of Crocus Hill, and visit a couple of restaurants.
